As protests make headlines around the country, Marquette was not slow to act on the unjust killing of George Floyd. Yesterday was day two of Marquette’s peaceful protest that took action in the heart of the city. Situated at Washington and Front, the protest garnered much support from the city and was replete with positive protesting and little strife.
The Michigan Protests today have all had their share of ups and downs. The only major headache from the days action came in form of a truck doing it’s best to spark a negative uprising. A truck consistently inched forward amidst a seated moment of silence for George Floyd and all others who have lost lives to police brutality.
