Where is Mount Bohemia?
Mount Bohemia is located in Mohawk, Michigan at the northernmost portion of the Keeweenaw Peninsula. For the geographically challenged, it is at the tip top of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Way up there. Although very far north, the scenery is stunning and is well worth the effort to get there.

Why should I visit Mount Bohemia?
Mount Bohemia has recently received the title of #3 best ski resort in the USA by USA Today. With high accolades and CHEAP skiing (if you act on the $99 deal) its a steal! Combine in close to 300 inches of Lake Effect snowfall a year and you have yourself a solid destination.
How Do I Get to Mount Bohemia Ski Resort?
Mount Bohemia is located in Upper Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula near Lac La Belle (approximately 39 miles north of Houghton/Hancock).
- Take US-41 North out of Hancock
- Drive approximately 35 miles to Lac La Belle Rd
- Turn right and continue 4 miles to the Mountain
Who is Mount Bohemia for?
Mount Bohemia is tailored for expert skiers and snowboarders. The mountain is un groomed and the majority of terrain is double black diamonds and even includes triple black diamonds. Mount Bohemia boasts a “No Beginners Allowed” motto and that slogan should not be taken lightly. Thankfully if you can’t handle the terrain, the resort has a lovely pool and spa deck AND a SAUNA.
