Cusco, Peru Travel
Cusco, Peru might be one of my favorite cities in South America. Positioned high in the Andes Mountain range, Cusco is a bustling city with countless cafes, restaurants and shops. The city is linked to Incan history and is a home base for many to explore the Sacred Valley.
Lima is an enormous city with a seemingly never ending amount of people. Traffic is a nightmare and pollution is awful. Apart of all this mess is the beauty that exists and one of the best cities in the world for food. Alongside food, Lima offers some excellent surfing at its beaches.
Welcome to the Amazon. Iquitos is Peru’s amazon city and a popular home base for those engaging in an Ayahuasca experience. The city is full of tour bookings and casinos and ideally is a quick in and out destination. There are a few markets that sell amazonian items that are ethically questionable but certainly aren’t available elsewhere in the world. Keep your head on a swivel as some of the places are dangerous.
