How to Shoot Video with the Nikon D750

So you just got a Nikon D750 and you want to start using the video function of this amazing camera?

Well let’s get started!

  1. Turn on Live View (LV) Button
  2. Flip switch on Camera to Video on right corner of back
  3. Put camera into Manual Mode (M) on top left dial (this will allow you to change shutter speed/aperture)
  4. Focus with back button focus (AE-L/AF-L button) or shutter button on top right
  5. Record – red record button on top right

Useful Nikon D750 Video Menu Settings

Frame Size/Frame Rate – Choose your desired video output. No 4K

Movie Quality – Set to High for best video quality

Microphone Sensitivity – Adjust for your shooting environment. Don’t want to be clipping with the audio bars going into red

Destination – What SD card your video will be saved to

Highlight Display – Showing over/underexposed part of video
