Big Powderhorn is one of the closest Ski Resorts to Wisconsin, which makes it a big draw for cheese heads.
Wisconsin folks can enter Ironwood from their respective Highway of 2/51/77.
For folks coming from the Central and Eastern UP, either take Highway 2 (south route) or follow your respective Highway 41/141/28 combo

Big Powderhorn is also apart of the second year operating, Indy Pass, that gives riders 2 days of riding at over 50 resorts for $399.

Living up to it’s name, Big Powderhorn brings big family fun.
Running 9 double chairlifts with more than 45 trails, skiers and snowboarders will have more than enough for a full day of fun.
What’s great about the mountain is the easy ability to traverse the entire mountain relatively effortlessly.
With it’s well placed chairlifts and 253 skiable acres, the 650 feet of vertical funnels well from top to bottom.
Families will love the range of terrain from challenging to very easy, alongside ski in and ski out options.
